Guns, Psychopaths, Training, and Left Wing Bluster

Maybe it’s just me but it seems that there are more shootings in the news and I don’t think it is because shootings are out of control. The stories seem to focus on mass shootings and never on cases where crimes were stopped by armed citizens. There seems to be a push from the left that if enough stories make it into the press immediately followed by the usual suspects on the left calling for more gun control they might just eliminate one more Constitutional right. Paul Ryan Warned about Fannie and Freddie in 2000

President Obama is still telling us that it was eight years of failed Bush policies that got us into this mess, and because of that terrible time he needs eight years of his own, not four, to get us out of this mess. After all, we don’t want to go back to the failed polices of the past. Really?

The Democrats are still out there trying to distort everything about anything Paul Ryan has proposed. Chris Van Hollen was on Greta Susteren’s program last night and he toed the party line. Paul Ryan is a nice guy, he is willing to listen to what you say, but then proposes these programs that will hurt middle America. He then rolls out the lie to back it up. Click to read more

“A lie told often enough becomes the truth.” – Vladimir Lenin, Russian Communist Revolutionary

“If you repeat a lie often enough, it becomes the truth. “– Joseph Goebbels, Reich Minister of Propaganda, Nazi Germany

“You’re going to hand out vouchers to seniors . . . you’re going to hand one to my father who is 83, who is a lung cancer survivor and has far different medical needs than his former White House staffing son does at 41.”  – Robert Gibbs, former Obama Press Secretary. That’s a lie. Under Ryan’s plan there were be no changes for anyone over 55 years of age which, the last time I checked, 83 is older than 55.

“If Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan became president and vice president of the United States, they would be able to end the Medicare guarantee, shred the health care safety net that Medicare has provided for more than 50 years, and turn Medicare into a voucher program — leaving seniors really out in the cold because as health care costs grow larger than the voucher provides, seniors wouldn’t have enough money to cover their health care costs.” - Debbie Wasserman Schultz, Chairwoman of the Democrat National Committee. That’s a lie. Again, there would be no changes to anyone over 55 and those under 55 would have a choice to stay in the current program of move to a voucher program.

There is one change however that is significant, Ryan’s plan works to make Medicare solvent beyond the next election cycle. Here it is in Ryan’s own words.

What could be clearer than no changes if you are over 55? We are not talking  about some nuanced phrase on page 2,321 of ObamaCare. Nothing changes if you are over 55, yet Gibbs and Wasserman Schultz can look straight into the camera and lie to the American people and repeat it as often as possible so that, as Lenin and Goebbels said, it will become the truth. I don’t know about you, but I think that is despicable. But it is the status quo from the Democrats. No budget, no plan, personal attacks, and bold face lies.

Like Paul Ryan, I am eager to have this debate. But rest assured we will not sit back and let the left repeat the lies unchallenged long enough so that it becomes the truth, no matter how much the mainstream media helps them. We can get the truth out there.

That’s my opinion; I’d like to know yours. Please comment below.

Timmy “The Fixer” Bishop Facing More Ethics Problems

by Bill O'Connell on August 16, 2012

Tim Bishop is a big government guy. He thinks government is much smarter than you and government experts should run your health care, your retirement, your banking, where you get your energy, etc. On the flip side, he believes in constituent service, which means he is there to help when that big government gets in the way. He is a “fixer”. [click to continue…]

The Road to Perdition or The Road to Prosperity?

by Bill O'Connell on August 15, 2012

When Barack Obama famously said, “If you’ve got a business — you didn’t build that.  Somebody else made that happen.” there is a subtext that he believes but didn’t say. That subtext is: because you didn’t build that, somebody else made that happen; you don’t own that, we do. We decide how much of that you get to keep. Click to read more

Paul Ryan: Tim Bishop Speaks Out

by Bill O'Connell on August 13, 2012

Tim Bishop has been in Congress for ten years. Paul Ryan has been in Congress for fourteen years. In that time, Tim Bishop is best known for voting with Nancy Pelosi 97% of the time. Paul Ryan, on the other hand, was promoted to the Chairmanship of the Budget Committee over other members with more seniority, so who better than Tim Bishop to opine on the qualifications of Paul Ryan?
